Mayor Robertson declared April 27, 2010 as Canucks day in Vancouver, as the Canucks prepare to start their second round series against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Joined by Canucks Sports & Entertainment owner Francesco Aquilini, President and General Manager Mike Gillis, Chief Operating Officer Victor de Bonis, Canucks mascot Fin, the Green Men, members of council, along with dozens of city staff, Mayor Robertson raised the Canucks flag at City Hall, which will stay up as long as the Canucks are in the playoffs.

It’s never too early to have the Canucks flag flying here at City Hall," the Mayor said. "We’re on a roll now and I think it’s important to keep the momentum going."

The Mayor also said that the City will be reprising last year's wager with Mayor Daley in Chicago. “We’re definitively wagering something, a friendly wager on behalf of our teams. Sort of a double or nothing this time. But I think we’re going to go deep.”
